Texas… Best place to Hog Hunt!

TEXAS is the best place to hunt wild hogs especially here at HOG WILD HUNTING COMPANY! First of all, we hunt year round. When deer, dove and turkey season are over we are still hunting hogs. We hunt year round for sport but also to help the farmers and ranchers get rid of wild hogs and the havoc they reap.

Second, we have plenty of sunshine and great weather. Even though our winters and springs can be unpredictable, the severe weather usually does not last long. If its cold, you can bundle up and hunt a nasty boar in your coveralls one day and maybe just need a t-shirt the next. If it is storming and too wet for even 4 wheel drives to go through, we will just hike in on foot and go in after them. If your schedule allows you to hunt in the summer, we can hunt in the shade or wait till the sun sets and do some night time hunting with thermals and night vision. We can hunt hogs in any kind of conditions or weather. Texas weather might be unpredictable and a little crazy but the crazy doesn’t last long and we have lots of big sky and sunshine.

Lastly, we have a different kind of hog. It’s not like hogs in Georgia or Florida or other places. Texas hogs have a strain of Russian boar in them. I heard that years ago, some settlers and certain game ranches brought Russian boars and they got out like they sometimes do and bred with domestic and feral hogs to produce the hogs we have today. They have big shoulders and little hams. They carry their tail above their back like a dog. They have hair all the way around their bellies and they are agile and quick. They have longer snouts and bigger teeth and they all have an ATTITUDE! So Be ready.
