As hunting season is well underway, we are so excited to welcome hunters from all over the world. Our goal is to have everyone from each state visit our camp, enjoy the lodge, and shoot a hog! We have had hunters from Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, South Dakota, California, Colorado, Ohio, Indiana and of course Texas. Some of our hunters are even from other countries such as Brazil, Armenia, Burma and South Africa. It is awesome to meet great people with a common love for hunting and a desire to rest, relax and enjoy the outdoors.
With that being said, Texas makes hunting more easily accessable because you do not need a hunting license to hunt hogs. However, Texas does require that hunters have a Hunter Safety Certificate. It is a free online certificate that you can obtain through the Texas Park and Wildlife Department. This free course goes over basic gun safety knowledge such as handling your firearm around other people to crossing through a fence when walking with your gun. It is a step to ensure safety for all hunters from beginners to veterans. Other states may have a similar training. Here at Hog Wild Hunting Company we take Hunter Safety very seriously and make it our top priority. Hunting hogs is fun especially when everyone knows about safety. Let’s go shoot a hog!
